SAC CITY FOOTBALL"ALL IN" DEF. FEATHER RIVER 54-17 SOPH. NIGHT NOV. 7TH

The Panthers got off to a fast start with a hard hitting and play making defensive performance and a quick tempo attack on offense with big plays in the air and on the ground against Feather River, Sophomore Night at Hughes.  After a start that had Sac City trailing 3-0, the Panthers exploded with dominant performances on offense, defense and special teams and scored 30 straight points and led 33-3 at the 12:15 mark of the second quarter. Sac City went into the half with a 33-10 lead.

Coach Walker and his staff were able to keep the team focused as they scored another 21 points in the third quarter pushing the lead to 54-17 at end of the third quarter. The Panthers defense shut out the Feather River Golden Eagles in the fourth quarter and Sac City earned their third victory of the season 54-17. The Panthers defense scored eight points in the game with a safety by freshman DL (#91) Tai Saamu and sophomore DB (#25) Ben Walls 10 yard interception return for a touchdown as well. The defense forced 4 turnovers in the game and freshman QB (#15) Taylor Laird threw for 5 touchdown passes for the second time this season and went 19-41 for 237 passing yards. The Panthers offense also rushed for 207 yards in the game as well.
