This marks a milestone moment for the program, as it's the first time since 2019 that Sacramento City College has been ranked or received votes among the top teams in the state.
Head Coach Caleb Theodore expressed pride in the program's progress and the team's commitment to building a strong culture both on and off the court.
"This recognition reflects the hard work and growth our players have put in," said Coach Theodore. "We're excited to compete at a high level (every team listed on the Pre-Season Game Schedule made playoffs last season) and continue raising the bar for women's basketball here at Sac City."
The Panthers will open the season at home next Tuesday, November 4, at 5:00 p.m. when they host Butte College in their season opener at the Sacramento City College North Gym. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the team as they begin what promises to be an exciting season on the hardwood!
